g (Gravity)
The centre of CLEO: one living picture of your business, in four parts, that every channel reads before it acts and writes back to after it acts.
Definition
The centre of CLEO: one living picture of a business, in four quadrants, that every channel reads before it acts and writes back to after it acts.
Quadrants
What it holds
Every fact in g carries where it came from, how confident g is, and how fresh it is. Open any fact and you see all three, and every action that used it.

Brand
What you offer, who you serve, why you win, how you sound. Built from your website and your materials once, then kept current by what the channels learn.
Audience
The questions buyers ask AI engines, the terms that convert in ads, the topics that earn engagement on social, the phrases customers use in reviews, the companies that visit your site.
Surface
Every page, listing, social account, review platform and AI engine you live on, and what state each is in.
Performance
Your scores, every prompt outcome, every ranking, and the ledger: what each action did, measured against a baseline, with the noise taken out.
Layers
Two layers
Your layer is the four quadrants above: facts about your business, read by your channels and by nobody else's.
The global core is what CLEO has learned from every site it runs, expressed as findings: a condition, an effect, and the number of sites behind it. A listing with a physical location lifts AI recognition. A page that answers first is cited sooner for questions buyers are still exploring. A review reply rate above eight in ten moves the rating. None of these is about any one client, so they belong to every client. Your address stays in your layer; the finding that an address matters sits in the core.
A fact is about you: your address, your proof points, the question you are absent from. A finding is about businesses like yours: that having an address on the listing lifts AI recognition, backed by a count of sites. Facts live in your layer. Findings live in the core.
Three rules keep the two apart. Findings cross into the core; facts never do, and only once at least five sites back a finding. Your layer always wins where the two disagree. A finding can change what Orbit proposes and what it expects; it can never assert anything about you. You can opt out of contributing to the core in Settings and still read all of it.
You start where the last client finished. What you build stays yours.
Rule
What it enforces
Read before act. Write after act.
No channel acts on your business without reading g first. No action completes without writing back what it changed, what it learned and, when the measurement window closes, what it did. That is the whole discipline.
Why it matters: a tool that only measures never sees what happens after a fix. g does, on every surface, so the next proposal starts from what the last one did.
The next read starts from what the last action did.
Loops
What runs through it
Five loops run through it:
GEO gap to citation
A question where AI engines name a rival and not you becomes an article, the article is amplified on social, and g records the day an engine first cites it.
Paid teaches organic
Ad terms that convert become tracked questions and search targets.
Reviews shape the voice
The words customers use in reviews shape your voice, your Google listing and the on-site answers AI engines quote.
Leads sharpen the audience
Companies identified on your site refine who you are for, which sharpens topics and targeting.
Social sets the topics
Posts that earn engagement tell Quill what the market cares about this week.
Limits
What it is not
Not the CLEO Presence Index
The Index measures your presence from outside; Mass measures what CLEO has learned about you. They are never blended.
Not a dashboard
Not a dashboard that collects scores from modules. Any platform can show a dashboard that collects scores. The test is whether the scores change the proposals.
Not a data warehouse
Not a data warehouse a person queries. One model of the business, held once, in which the facts every channel reads and writes are the same facts. The place the next proposal starts from.
See what the machines see. Then let it run.
